The Z900 suits riders who are already confident on a motorcycle but do not want to jump straight onto a superbike. The 948 cc inline-four makes 125 PS and pulls smoothly from low revs, the riding position is upright and the handlebar is wide. There are two power modes, KTRC traction control and a Rain mode for the wet season.
Kerb weight is 212 kg. It is an easy bike for a day trip across the Sarasin Bridge to Phang Nga and back by sunset, and it does not wear you out in the Chalong traffic.
