The Carrera S suits anyone who wants a sports car for every day. The 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six makes 450 PS and reaches 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, while the PASM adaptive dampers in Normal mode take rough patches and speed bumps calmly. Sensors in the wheel arches detect water on the road and prompt you to switch on Wet Mode, which is useful in Phuket's rainy season.

The car is sure-footed on the climb to the Big Buddha and on the road from Rawai to Nai Harn, and on weekdays it handles runs between Bang Tao and the airport without fuss.
