Maha Bhetra is a 90 ft (27.4 m) Thai-built motor yacht with a timber hull, designed by Ed Tuttle. The top deck is an open teak saloon with a round dining table and a bow daybed. Below are three identical double cabins of 20 sqm, each with a separate shower and WC, and air conditioning throughout. On board: tender, two kayaks, paddleboard, snorkelling gear, fishing rods, WiFi and a BBQ grill. Cruising speed is 8 knots, and the crew is five.
The yacht leaves from Phuket Yacht Haven Marina. Day charter itineraries are Kai and Naka Islands, Phang Nga Bay, Koh Maiton and Koh Kai, and Koh Hong, Krabi. The captain may adjust the route for sea state, weather or national park access. Departure times for day charters are not printed, the concierge will confirm them.
A full day charter for up to 12 guests costs 202 000 THB all year, and 231 000 THB in peak season, 20 December to 10 January. Overnight charters for up to 6 guests start at 228 000 THB for 2 days and 1 night, and 267 000 THB in peak season. Longer trips of up to 7 days are available. Some destinations, such as the Similan Islands, cost more, and the concierge will confirm the exact price.
