A one-day introduction that lets beginners breathe underwater and see a coral reef. Guests meet at the dive club, are fitted with full equipment and have a short briefing, then go to Kata Beach.

The instructor starts in shallow, standing water with the basic skills: inflating and deflating the BCD at the surface, regulator clearing, regulator recovery and partial mask clearing. Everything is done at the guest's own pace, and when the guest is comfortable the instructor guides the first underwater experience, to a maximum depth of 12 meters. There is one instructor for every two guests.

Sessions run at 8:30, 12:30 and 15:00. Marine life seen here includes yellow snapper, moray eels, lionfish and parrotfish.
