The course has three parts: theory by online e-learning at your own pace, confined water training in a calm, controlled setting, and four open water dives plus two fun dives at real dive sites. Beginner-friendly sites such as Racha Yai and Phi Phi are used. Water temperature is around 28 to 30 degrees C.

No experience is needed. The result is an internationally recognised PADI Open Water certification, which allows diving to 18 meters worldwide. There is one instructor for every four guests, groups are small and scheduling is flexible. Maximum depth is 18 meters, or 12 meters for children under 13.

Requirements

  • Minimum age 10 years
  • Good general health
  • No flying for 18 to 24 hours after diving
  • Bring swimwear, towel and sunscreen
  • Do not touch marine life
  • Do not dive with congestion, illness, dehydration or after heavy drinking
