The Divemaster course is the first professional level in the PADI system. It has four parts: knowledge development (dive theory, dive planning, risk management, professional responsibilities), water skills and stamina to demonstration quality, practical training (assisting instructors with courses, supervising certified divers, learning how dive operations work), and real dive experience with regular dives, workshops, briefings and guiding practice at local sites such as Kata, Racha Yai, Phi Phi and local reefs.

The result is PADI Divemaster certification, with mentorship from experienced instructors. Water is 28 to 30 degrees C. Groups are small, with one instructor for every four guests, and scheduling is flexible. Maximum depth is 30 meters.
